Our approach

Privacy in a practical editorial website

Xahemir is an educational lifestyle project about light movement, rest, food, posture, and comfortable daily routines in Hungary. Most pages can be read without creating an account or submitting personal information. We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to operate the site, answer messages, maintain security, and understand basic website performance.

1. Information we may collect

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, we may receive your name, email address, subject, message, and any other information you choose to include. Please avoid sending health records, financial details, identity documents, passwords, or other sensitive information.

Basic technical information

Our hosting, security, or analytics services may process information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, referring page, pages viewed, access time, and technical error logs.

2. Why we use information

Information may be used to deliver pages correctly, respond to enquiries, investigate errors, prevent spam or misuse, protect the website, improve navigation, and maintain reliable editorial operations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use contact messages to create medical, financial, or behavioural profiles, and we do not require personal data merely to read our public articles.

3. Legal grounds for processing

Depending on the context, we may process information because you have requested a response, because processing is necessary to operate and secure the website, because we have a legitimate interest in maintaining and improving our service, or because you have given consent for an optional function.

Where consent is used, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

4. Contact forms and communications

Messages are reviewed only for the purpose of handling the enquiry, correcting editorial material, responding to accessibility feedback, or resolving technical issues. We may retain correspondence for a reasonable period so that we can follow up, keep a record of the request, and protect the site from repeated abuse.

We will not subscribe you to marketing messages simply because you contacted us.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Xahemir may use essential cookies, local storage, security tools, and limited measurement technologies. These may help pages load correctly, remember basic choices, protect forms, and understand aggregate website usage.

Further details are available in our Cookie Policy.

6. Service providers

We may rely on providers for hosting, email delivery, spam protection, form processing, security, or technical measurement. These providers may process only the information needed to perform their services and are expected to apply appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.

Some providers may operate outside Hungary or the European Economic Area. Where applicable, we seek to use recognised transfer mechanisms and reasonable contractual or technical protections.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Contact messages may be retained while an enquiry is active and for a limited period afterwards. Technical logs are generally retained for shorter operational and security periods unless an incident requires longer preservation.

Information may also be retained when required to comply with a legal obligation, establish a claim, or defend the website against misuse.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information associated with you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, or request a portable copy where relevant.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority if you believe your information has been handled improperly.

To make a request, use our Contact page and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant communication. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration, or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please send only the information that is necessary for your enquiry.

10. Children’s privacy

Xahemir is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us to request its review or deletion.

Editorial and health information Xahemir publishes general lifestyle content and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation plans, or personalised medical advice. Please do not submit private medical information through the contact form.

11. Updates and contact

We may revise this policy when website functions, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will always appear on this page with an updated date.

Questions about this policy may be sent through the Contact page.
